ABOUT ME
My Background
Welcome! My name is Paige McClelland, and I am a senior at Baylor University set to graduate in May 2022. I was born and raised in Kansas City as the second of 4 kids.
Growing up, I attended Kanakuk Kamps (a Christian sports camp in the Midwest). What I noticed from a young age is that so many of the leadership staff and counselors that I looked up to all had one thing in common. They were Baylor Bears! So, I knew early on that Baylor was my dream school and I wanted to spend four years in Waco, TX.
In high school, I was active in my school's marketing program. With that came a lot of involvement in DECA. DECA is an organization with over 150,000 members preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for business around the globe. DECA provided me my first exposure to sales as I was constantly competing in role plays at the district, regional, and international level. I immediately noticed that these sales competitions were where my natural talent and natural passion aligned. This led me to placing first at regionals in both of my competitions senior year: Sports and Entertainment Promotional Plan and Automotive Role Play. In April of my senior year, I earned my spot to compete at internationals in Atlanta, GA with over 30,000 competitors. At internationals I made finals and placed top 20 in the world! I knew when I got to Baylor, I wanted to find a program with a similar caliber to DECA.
Lucky for me, I found it right away! My first week as a student at Baylor I attended a business school tabling event where I wandered up to the ProSales table and within 5 minutes of the current senior speaking to me, I knew ProSales was where I wanted to invest my time at Baylor.
Since joining the program fall of my Sophomore year, ProSales has been the most impactful part of my time in Waco. ProSales has taught me to lead and be a critical team member, to add value and serve with excellence, and most importantly has taught me humility and to take advantage of my peers', professors', and mentors’ wisdom and expertise.
While I am nostalgic that my time as a ProSales student is quickly expiring, I could not be more excited to begin a career in sales post grad May 2022. I hope you enjoy my ePortfolio and catch a glimpse into my greatest passions: hard work, service, and success.
